Bengali New Year celebrations were held in person in Dhaka, the capital city of Bangladesh. After didn’t held with a big event for 2 years due to Covid-19 pandemic, the New Year celebrations were held with the participation of thousands of people and were celebrated with great enthusiasm this year. Thousands of people gathered in front of the Dhaka University in the capital city and walked in their traditional clothes on the first day of the New Year. While strict security measures were taken, the celebrations lasted until the morning hours and ended with a cultural event held in the town square.
