At least 6 people were killed and 6 others were injured after a boiler blast in a food-manufacturing plant in Bihar, India, local sources reported. The cause of the explosion is being investigated and 4 of the 6 injured are in critical condition, a police officer said. Many homes and factories were damaged by the explosion.
Poor safety standards cause frequent explosions in India. Last year, a chemical warehouse in the western state of Guajarat exploded, killing 12 people in the fire.
