A bomb attack was carried out during a mountain hiking event called “Race of Hope”, in which 600 athletes from 13 countries participated, in the city of Buea, Cameroon. Regional Governor Bernard Okalia Bikai stated that 19 people, including 9 athletes, and a baby were injured and were taken to the Buea Regional Hospital.
The armed wing of the Ambazonia Governing Council, one of the separatist militia groups, claimed the attack.
