The Kyrgyzstan Border Guard Service expresses its concern about the development of the situation in the Kyrgyz-Tajik part of the state border and draws attention to the increasing provocations on the state border,” the statement said. Kyrgyzstan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that a diplomatic note was sent to Tajikistan in response to the border attacks.
According to Tajikistan news, 2 soldiers were killed and 11 people were injured in the clashes, 6 of whom were soldiers. Authorities in Kyrgyzstan also reported that 38 people were injured, including 2 soldiers.
