Opposition parties protested the election results in Bosnia and Herzegovina’s Republika Srpska (RS), which is densely populated by Serbs. Opponents announced that they will continue to protest until the Central Election Commission of Bosnia and Herzegovina meets their demands, claiming that Milorad Dodik, leader of the Alliance of Independent Social Democrats (SNSD), who won the Republika Srpska entity presidency elections, stole votes.
In his speech at the protest, Democratic Progressive Party (PDP) leader Bransilav Borenovic claimed that the votes of Jelena Trivic, who ran as the opposition’s joint candidate against Dodik, were brutally usurped.
