A Brazilian Navy training sail-ship crashed into a pedestrian bridge while cruising a river in Ecuador. The ship was saved from capsizing, and the tugboat accompanying the ship sank. While there was no loss of life or injury in the incident, material damage occurred on the pillars of the bridge.
