Numerous people marched to commemorate the victims killed in the military couple staged in Brazil in 1964 on its 60th anniversary. The crowd gathered in front of the DOI-Codi building, the largest torture center for opponents of the military regime and chanted ‘Dictatorship never again!’
Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva’s decision to no hold official events was slammed by many Brazilians.
