A meteorite that entered the Brazilian atmosphere last night turned the night into day. The meteorite was spotted in the Brazilian states of Sao Paulo and Minas Gerais. According to the Brazilian Asteroid Monitoring Network, the meteorite’s flare was bright as it took longer to splinter than usual.

Experts are trying to determine the points where the pieces of the meteorite fell. It is believed that fragments of the meteorite may have fallen in one of the cities of Aguai, Mogi Mirim in Sao Paulo or Poços de Caldas in Minas Gerais.
