A 5-story building in Kocaeli’s Gölcük district in Türkiye faced evacuation after a landslide, prompting an aerial assessment. The incident occurred after soil slid due to excavation for construction. A significant portion of the building’s garden collapsed, causing panic among citizens. Fire brigade, police, and municipal teams were deployed, securing the area. Following inspections, the risky 5-story, 6-flat building was evacuated. Out of the 12 residents, some were relocated to Gölcük Municipality guesthouses, and others went to stay with relatives.

Meanwhile in Ödemiş, fires that broke out in Tosunlar spread overnight, leading to the evacuation of Tosunlar, Sucıktı, and Köseler. As of sunrise, 2 planes, 9 helicopters, and 35 water trucks remain active in the firefighting efforts.
