In the city of Novsud, Kermanshah Province, Iran, an explosion occurred in a four-story building. Mujtaba Khalidi, a spokesperson for Iran’s Emergency Aid Agency, said: “In the morning, an explosion occurred in a four-story building. Unfortunately, two people have died so far, seven people have been injured, four of them seriously,” he said, adding that the number may rise.
“The possibility of the explosion occurring due to gas compression is being focused on,” Halidi said, adding that medical teams had been dispatched to the scene. The investigation into the incident is still ongoing.
