A fire broke out in a building where perfume shops are located in the Al-Waziya district of Baghdad, Iraq’s capital. The Iraqi Civil Defense General Director and 10 firefighters were injured after a section of the building collapsed due to the fire. The cause of the fire is not yet known.
Members of Italy’s opposition Five-Star Movement (M5S) wore black, white, and green T-shirts, representing the Palestinian flag, during a parliamentary session to protest the government’s stance on Gaza. Riccardo Ricciardi criticized Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni’s government for not recognizing the State of Palestine, despite widespread global recognition. Ricciardi accused the government of complicity in the ongoing conflict, calling it a “genocide” and condemning their support for what he described as “the greatest massacre of this century.”
