A bus carrying dozens of primary school students during a school trip overturned in the town of Hammamet, in northeastern Tunisia. At least 23 students were slightly injured and taken to Mohamed Taher Al Maamouri Hospital. The police launched an investigation into the cause of the accident.

Typhoon Kajiki, which struck Vietnam on August 25, has killed 7 people in the country and 1 in Thailand. Authorities reported that 1.6 million people, mostly in Ha Tinh and Nghe An provinces, were left without electricity after power lines were knocked down.
