A car bomb exploded outside a restaurant in Mogadishu, Somalia, where people were watching the 2024 European Football Championship final. The blast resulted in 5 deaths and 20 injuries. The explosion also damaged many buildings and rendered 10 vehicles unusable.
The terrorist group Al-Shabaab claimed responsibility for the attack, further exacerbating the ongoing security concerns in the region. Authorities are continuing their investigation into the incident.
