A cargo plane belonging to Atlas Air in the USA caught fire due to an engine failure that occurred shortly after takeoff. The plane immediately made an emergency landing at Miami International Airport and was put off by firefighting teams. Authorities announced that the landing was made safely and there were no injuries.
Student-led protesters in Serbia have blockaded state broadcasters RTS and RTV, demanding management overhaul or complete shutdown due to alleged biased reporting. Tents were set up outside buildings in Belgrade and Novi Sad, blocking entry and disrupting broadcasts. RTS called the blockade illegal, while RTV’s head labeled it “terrorism.”
The protests follow a deadly building collapse in Novi Sad that killed 15 people in November 2024. Despite government reshuffles and resignations, demonstrations persist. President Aleksandar Vucic dismissed the unrest as a failed “color revolution.”
