Two died and 17 injured in a boiler explosion and fire in a chemical factory in Nashik, Maharashtra, India. Four of the casualties were reported to be in serious condition. Officials stated that the number of workers at the factory was less than usual as it was the first day of the new year. The cause of the incident is being investigated.
Russian Presidential aide Nikolay Patrushev announced that President Vladimir Putin signed the draft strategy for the development of the Russian Navy through 2050.
Patrushev stated that the final draft was signed on May 30, following its preparation by the Ministry of Defense and revision by the Maritime Board. The strategy incorporates proposals from various federal institutions and organizations. The initiative was launched after a Kremlin meeting in July 2024.
