A 40-centimeter-wide chimney cap that came off from a roof due to the wind fell on a guest next to the pool of an hotel in Alanya. The 37-year-old woman was immediately taken to the hospital and reportedly injured badly. Her condition was stated to be life-threatening.
Excavator Operator Waits 27 Days to Protect Dove Nest in Hatay
In Hatay, Türkiye, excavator operator Bülent Kuyucu paused work for 27 days to protect a dove’s nest on his machine. Kuyucu did not work to avoid disturbing the birds until the dove chicks safely flew away.
Kuyucu said he accepted the financial loss but was happy to see the doves leave unharmed.
