China successfully launched a new communication technology experiment satellite from the Xichang Satellite Launch Center in southwest China’s Sichuan Province on Tuesday. The satellite entered the planned orbit successfully.
The launch marked the 386th mission for the Long March series carrier rockets.
Following peace talks in Istanbul, Russia and Ukraine resumed airstrikes. Ukrainian drone strikes in Sochi killed two and injured 11, leading to a four-hour suspension at Sochi Airport. Russia’s defense systems shot down 39 Ukrainian drones over the Black Sea and Sea of Azov.
Meanwhile, Russian attacks on Odessa injured at least four people, targeting the Pryvoz market, and strikes in the Cherkasy region injured seven. Ukrainian President Zelenskyy condemned the ongoing attacks despite ceasefire proposals discussed in Istanbul. The peace talks also resulted in an agreement for the exchange of military and civilian prisoners.
