China has sent its Di’er-1 satellite into orbit with the commercial carrier rocket SQX-1 from Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center at 15:00 local time.
It is the sixth time China has launched an SQX-1 rocket into space.
Andriy Portnov, former aide to ex-Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych, was shot dead in Madrid’s upscale Pozuelo de Alarcon district. Spanish authorities say unidentified gunmen opened fire as the 52-year-old was dropping off his children at school, striking him in the back and head before fleeing.
Portnov, a former MP and lawyer, fled Ukraine with Yanukovych in 2014, briefly returned in 2019, and was later sanctioned by the U.S. for alleged judicial corruption.
