Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi, visiting Brussels for the China-EU Strategic Dialogue, called for stronger China-EU relations and deeper communication ahead of the upcoming leaders’ summit. After meeting EU Council President Antonio Costa, Wang emphasized mutual respect and warned against “unilateralism and bullying.” The two also discussed Ukraine, with Beijing reaffirming its support for peace talks. Costa urged China to address trade imbalances and support a rules-based order. Wang will continue his Europe tour with visits to Germany and France through July 6.
