As the Spring Festival approaches, the Dongxihu District of Wuhan City, China hosted a series of events at the Temple Fair titled “Celebrate the New Year with One Heart” for the Year of the Rabbit. Performances of traditional cultural heritage such as dragon and lion dances were held at the Dongxihu District Airport Port Cultural Center, and there were also markets for new year’s goods, food, and exhibitions. Visitors could watch vendors create sugar figurines, make rice cakes, fry lotus root balls, fry stinky tofu, and steam glutinous rice balls. Citizens and tourists alike had the opportunity to experience traditional customs, taste the culture, and search for the flavors of the new year in a festive and joyful atmosphere.
