A 49-year-old homeless man set fire to a 15-meter artificial Christmas tree placed in Fox Square in New York City, USA. The fire was extinguished without any casualties. The man was detained by police, and he is expected to face charges of arson and property damage. A new tree will replaced on the same spot, authorities said.

The program began with a moment of silence and the singing of the Turkish and Azerbaijani national anthems, followed by student performances including dances, poetry, and live music.
