Cil Lake and Sütey Plateau in Bitlis’ Adilcevaz district are drawing nature lovers with their serene landscapes and rich birdlife. Nestled at the foot of 4,580-meter-high Mount Süphan, Türkiye’s third highest peak, the lake—declared a protected area in 2019—stands out with colorful wildflowers, bird songs, and views of the snow-covered summit. “The lake hosts dozens of bird species and offers peace to its visitors,” said local Mezher Çınar.
