Fighting along the Thailand–Cambodia border has intensified, raising the death toll to 22. Thailand reported 12 dead – 9 soldiers and 3 civilians, and more than 120 injured. Over 200,000 people have been evacuated from border provinces, and widespread damage has been reported to hospitals and infrastructure.
Cambodia said 10 civilians were killed and 46 injured, with 226,000 people displaced. Phnom Penh has appealed to the UN Security Council, accusing Thailand of violating the ceasefire and targeting civilian areas.
Türkiye’s Embassy in Bangkok issued a travel advisory, urging Turkish citizens near the border to exercise caution and follow local warnings.
