Three people, including a mining engineer and workers, tragically lost their lives in a collapse near a chrome mine in Acıpayam, Denizli. The engineer, Kadir Özer, and worker Mustafa Karahan were found lifeless after a four-hour search, while Rıfat Salman, another worker, was successfully rescued and is in good health. The bodies were recovered and transported for investigation, with efforts ongoing to understand the cause of this devastating incident.

“A big earthquake occurred last night and it was felt very much in our village. It was very scary. We heard sounds from underground. We couldn’t even get inside our house and we spent the night in a tent. We are waiting for urgent help from the authorities,” said a local.
