A hydrocarbon reservoir in the Colombian city of Barranquilla exploded. Many firefighters were called to the scene after the fire quickly spread. Authorities reported that a firefighter who intervened in the fire died, and that they were waiting for all of the fuel in the tank to run out, stating that the fire could last 3–4 days.

The 2025 Caner Gönyeli Search and Rescue Exercise ended with a sea drill off Gazimağusa, Northern Cyprus. In a scenario involving a migrant-carrying yacht and a cargo ship collision, Turkish and TRNC teams launched immediate rescue operations. Survivors were saved by helicopter and boats; a fire set by migrants was extinguished. The final scenario simulated a tanker collision, ending with a salute by participating air and sea units.
