An Su-30 type Russian combat aircraft fell onto a 2-story building in the İrkutsk city of Russia’s Siberian region. While the two pilots on the plane, which fell from the sudden altitude, died, no civilians lost their lives. The crash caused fire in a 200 square meters area which was taken under control by fire teams.
Irkutsk Governor Igor Kobzev said that necessary measures were taken in the region and an aid program has been prepared for the public.
Russian Investigation Committee’s investigation revealed that the aircraft was carrying out a training flight and did not carry ammunition.
