Realizing that the Kilez Stream in Turkiye’s Kocaeli district turned white on Sunday, authorities detected that the stream was contaminated by chemicals during an investigation in the stream. After the investigations, a company named Crown Bevcan, which was detected to be the responsible for contaminating the stream by leaking their materials into a rainwater channel that connects to the stream, was banned from all producing activities.

The company was also subjected by municipal committee of the district to a ₺1,470,000 worth penalty fine for the damage they have caused to nature.
