A Condor Airlines Boeing 757 flying from Corfu, Greece, to Düsseldorf, Germany, caught fire in its right engine shortly after takeoff. The aircraft, carrying 273 passengers and eight crew, made an emergency landing in Brindisi, Italy.
Passengers described “terrifying” moments as power briefly failed midair. No injuries were reported. Condor said a chemical reaction caused the fire, and investigators have launched a probe.
