After 10 people lost their lives in a fire in a building that was quarantined within the Covid-19 measures last week, the government and Covid-19 policies began to be protested in many parts of the country. Claiming that the quarantined patients could not manage to escape the building due to the lockdown order, the demonstrators reacted with blank white papers in their hands.

Using blank white papers in a protest has become a movement after protest methods were restricted and many slogans were banned after the Hong Kong protests in 2020. To express their reactions against being silenced and to mock the authorities, the demonstrators in Hong Kong carried blank white papers instead of carrying a written banners or shouting slogans.
