A forest fire near Split, Croatia, sparked by a lightning strike earlier this week, has devastated over 700 hectares of land. The fire, which briefly reignited due to strong winds, was fought by 250 firefighters and 80 fire trucks throughout the night. While residential areas were safeguarded, one firefighter sustained minor injuries. Fire Chief Slavko Tucakovic announced that the fire is now under control, with the situation significantly improved by morning.
