DAESH so-called the Tigris sector official killed in Iraq

Operations against the terrorist organization DAESH continues in Iraq. The Iraqi government’s Security Media Cell stated that the so-called the Tigris sector official of the terrorist organization DEASH, code-named Abu Issam, and his assistant Abu Mahmoud were killed in the south of Mosul. It was reported that the 2 terrorists were neutralized with an airstrike near Hatra, south of Mosul. According to the statement, upon the intelligence information received, warplanes carried out an airstrike on the pickup-type vehicle that the terrorists were in.

“In response to the recent cowardly and treacherous terrorist acts, and through field follow-up and intensification of the intelligence efforts of the Federal Intelligence and Investigations Agency in the Ministry of Interior, and the targeting cell of the Joint Operations Command, two leaders of DEASH terrorist organizations were monitored and followed up. They are the terrorist nickname Abu Issam, who holds the position of the so-called official of the Tigris sector, and the criminal terrorist Abu Mahmoud, who were riding a pickup truck and wearing two explosive belts, accompanied by a third terrorist,” Iraq Security Media Cell said.

Iran Warns Europe Over Nuclear Dispute

0

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Arakchi issued a stern warning to the UK, Germany, and France, accusing them of making a “new strategic mistake” regarding Tehran’s nuclear program. In a social media post, Arakchi said, “Iran will give a tough and determined response to the violation of its rights,” criticizing the European trio for backing a resolution against Iran at the IAEA Board of Governors.

Arakchi condemned the move as baseless, recalling past disputes in 2005 which led to the expansion of Iran’s uranium enrichment. “Have these three really not learned any lessons in the last twenty years?” he said.

Meanwhile, the IAEA reported on May 31 that Iran’s 60% enriched uranium stockpile had grown from 274.8 kg in February to 408.6 kg by May 17. In response, the UK, Germany, and France are reportedly preparing to refer Iran’s file to the UN Security Council, which could activate the “snapback” mechanism and reimpose UN sanctions.
