In Aydın’s Incirliova district, a camel named Gören is prepared for the 2024-2025 camel wrestling season with daily 10-kilometer walks. The 11-year-old camel, owned by İsmail Gören, is carefully trained under the supervision of caretaker Birhan Turan, who has been caring for camels for 25 years.
Turan explained that Gören has been trained since the age of three. As part of his regimen, Gören is tethered to a pickup truck and walked along the Aydın-İzmir highway, ensuring peak fitness for the upcoming wrestling matches.
