The World Economic Forum’s Davos Summit has opened in Davos, Switzerland, under the theme “The Spirit of Dialogue,” amid heightened global uncertainty. Around 400 political leaders, including 65 heads of state and government, and nearly 850 CEOs are attending discussions on wars in the Middle East and Ukraine, US “America First” policies, China’s rising influence, and global economic risks. Donald Trump is attending with the largest-ever US delegation and is expected to outline Washington’s priorities, while Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy seeks continued international support. The forum is also focusing on artificial intelligence, energy security, and water scarcity, with strong participation from major oil companies. The WEF said it cancelled Iran’s invitation, citing recent civilian deaths in the country.
