Five dead dolphins were found at different points of the coast in Hopa and Kemalpaşa districts of Artvin province of Türkiye. After locals and fishermen reported the carcasses, a study was initiated into the causes of the death of the dolphins. Zafer Öztürk, President of Hopa Fisheries Cooperative, stated that dolphins came to the region by following the traces of the fish and that they were hunting here, and that their deaths were natural.
