Dozens of fish that died for an unknown reason washed ashore in the lake in Küçükçekmece district of Istanbul, one of the most popular cities in Türkiye. Saying that a very bad smell is emitted from the lake, which also turned green, citizens urged authorities to find a solution.

“Fish are dead in the lake. I think a factory’s waste is leaking into the lake. I don’t know if the water is not purified or not. Teams come and clean every day, but it is not a solution,” said a citizen.
