A powerful storm swept through Tennessee, Kentucky, Virginia, and Georgia, leaving at least nine people dead. Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear reported severe flooding, damaging homes, businesses, and roads, with over 300 roads closed. Emergency teams have conducted more than a thousand rescues within 24 hours.
One person was confirmed dead in Georgia, while other affected states reported significant damage. Search and rescue efforts are ongoing as authorities warn residents to remain cautious.
