The death toll from the floods caused by heavy downpours in Haiti during the last few days has increased to at least 51, according to the Civil Protection Directorate. The authorities reported 18 missing people and 140 injuries as well.
The country was also struck by a 4.9-magnitude earthquake that occurred this morning.
