Authorities reported that the death toll from category 4 Hurricane Helene, which hit the southeastern states of the United States, has risen to 44.
“Do not go out. We have 1,500 search and rescue personnel in the affected areas. Please get out of our way so we can do our job,” said Kevin Guthrie, Florida’s emergency management director.
