The death toll from the Israeli army’s ongoing attacks on various towns in southern and eastern Lebanon has risen to 23 and the number of wounded has risen to 97.
The commander of the Israeli army’s Northern Command, Major General Ori Gordin, stated that Israel’s attacks “started by dealing a very significant blow to Hezbollah’s capabilities,” focusing particularly on its rocket capabilities and causing significant damage to Hezbollah’s commanders and members. The Israeli commander also said that the Israeli army must change the security situation and “be strongly prepared for a ground operation in Lebanon.”
