Heavy rains have been affecting the Philippines since January 2, causing floods and landslides in various parts of the country. The death toll from the floods and landslides has risen to 17, with 7 people injured. Authorities have stated that the search for 2 missing people is still ongoing.
In Cagayan, Luzon, Calabarzon, Mimaropa, Bicol, Visayas, Zamboanga, Mindanao, Davao, Soccsksargen, and the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region, a total of 523,991 people have been affected by the heavy rains.
