The Emergency Coordination Center for the autonomous region of Valencia, which is the most affected by the ongoing floods in Spain, reported that the death toll in the region has risen to 202.
While cleaning efforts continue following the floods, which left thousands of vehicles swept away by floodwater, bridges collapsed and residential areas covered in mud, many people still have no access to electricity, water or food.
Spain’s National Meteorological Agency has warned of more rain for four regions, including Valencia.
Authorities stated that a year’s worth of rain fell in just eight hours in Valencia.
