The United Nations (UN) announced that the number of people who lost their lives in the 6.3-magnitude earthquake that occurred in Afghanistan’s Herat province reached 320. Although an exact figure has not been given, it is estimated that there are at least 1000 injured. It was reported that there were many missing, especially from Zindajan district, and approximately 1,200 families were still under rubble.
Hundreds of people whose houses were destroyed said that they have not received any help from aid organizations or the Taliban so far. The Taliban requested cooperation from countries in providing aid to the victims.
