The number of people who died in the floods that broke out the southern Brazilian state of Rio Grande do Sul after heavy rains in has increased to 83.
Firefighter Daniel Batista da Rocha, a search and rescue personnel, said that the flood waters had risen so high that the rescue boats were moving at the same level as the electric boats and that they had to cut the cables.
