New South Wales Police Chief Karen Webb gave new information about the stabbing attack in a shopping mall in Australia’s Sydney at the press conference. Stating that the number of dead people increased to 7 including the attacker, Webb said that 8 people, including a 9-month-old baby, continue to receive treatment in hospitals. No information on the 40-year-old offender’s identity was not given but the attack is thought not be a terrorist attack.
On the other hand, Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese held a press conference in the capital Canberra regarding the incident and expressed his condolences to the relatives of those who lost their lives.
