Taiwan’s National Fire Agency reported that the death toll from the 7.4-magnitude earthquake that occurred in Hualien city has increased to at least 9, and the number of injured has exceeded 1,000.
The earthquake was described as the strongest one to occur within Taiwan’s borders in the last 25 years.
