Authorities confirmed extensive structural damage, with 3,609 houses affected and over 30,000 residents evacuated. Rescue teams have saved 407 trapped individuals, while over 12,000 personnel, including firefighters and soldiers, continue relief efforts.
The quake, recorded at a depth of 10 kilometers, was also felt in Nepal and India.
