The number of people who have lost their lives in floods and landslides due to heavy rains in Haiti is increasing. The Haiti Civil Protection Agency stated that 42 people died and 85 were injured due to the flooding. It was also reported that more than 13 thousand people were left homeless, 11 people went missing and a total of 37 thousand people were affected by heavy rains in the country.
The Prime Minister of Haiti, Ariel Henry, announced that measures had been taken against the flood disaster in cooperation with international organizations throughout the country.
