Death toll is rising in the landslide that occurred at a construction site at around 7:00 PM local time on January 3th in the Bijie city of Guizhou province in the south of China. According to the statement released by Bijie Municipality, the number of people who lost their lives as a result of the landslide increased from 10 to 14. It’s been stated that rescue efforts were completed and cause of the accident is being investigated. Also it’s been indicated that treatment of 3 people, who taken into hospital with injuries, continues. More than 1.000 personnel from emergency services, firefighters and public security teams were dispatched to search and rescue efforts.

Budapest is set to host the Organization of Turkic States (TDT) Informal Summit on May 20–21, marking the first time a country with observer status, Hungary, will host the event. The city has been decorated with TDT flags ahead of the summit, which will take place at the historic Varkert Bazar near the Danube.
Leaders from Türkiye, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, and Hungary are expected to attend. President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan will also hold bilateral talks during his visit.
The summit will focus on deepening strategic cooperation among Turkic states, with discussions on economic ties, security, and cultural heritage. The event will conclude with the adoption of the Budapest Declaration.
