Debris removal efforts and demolition of critically damaged buildings are ongoing in Adıyaman, Türkiye which experienced the most destruction in the devastating earthquakes of 7.7 and 7.6 on February 6. “A great effort is being made to bring life back to normal and heal the wounds of Adıyaman. As of today, we have removed 70% of the debris, and we have demolished 42% of the buildings in need of urgent demolition,” said Gökmen Çiçek, Governor of Adıyaman.

Out of 216,744 residences in Adıyaman, 147,700 were damaged, and there are 56,256 emergency, heavy, and ruined houses.
