After the Russian army withdrew from the Ukrainian city of Bucha, streets of the city were filled with the dead bodies of civilians. While the dozens of civilian bodies in the streets of Bucha await burial, Ukrainian authorities took action on the incident. The civilian bodies that removed from houses in Bucha were collected and brought to a cemetery for identification and registration. While the number of dead bodies increases every day, teams continue their efforts to bury and record dozens of dead bodies. In addition to that, teams are also examining dead bodies and trying to determine the cause and time of death.
“They tied their hands and killed them by shooting in their heads. There are many such bodies, around 300. There are 14 settlements in this state, not just Bucha. There are too many bodies right now and the morgue can’t take 70 bodies. We send the bodies to morgues in the cities of Vyshhorod and Bila Tserkva,” Kaplichniy Serhiy, the head of Rescue Service in Bucha, said.
